backstory

prince daeron targaryen was born in 114 ac to king viserys i targaryen and his wife, queen alicent hightower. the king's third son and fourth child from queen alicent. he is the younger brother of king aegon ii, queen helaena and prince aemond; as well as being the younger half-brother of queen rhaenyra.along with his elder brothers, he too became rivals with rhaenyra's children. being born shortly after jacaerys, the two shared a wet nurse in hopes to bond the two, but those efforts were in vain.he is the rider of the she-dragon TESSARION, the blue queen. at six years old he was sent away to oldtown to squire for his cousin; lord ormund hightower. while in oldtown he became a skilled fighter. training to become a knight.his place is in oldtown. something he is constantly reminded of. as a third born son he is not needed at court under the assumption that he will never sit the throne. he is close to his hightower kin. particularly ormund and gwayne, both of whom acted as his surrogate parents while away from home. he is prone to feeling like an outsider when around his targaryen kin due to the time spent apart.he supports his brother aegon in the dance of dragons. siding with team green and acting as one of their dragon riders.

personality

daeron is known as the gentlest of his brothers. he is courteus, kind and likeable making him the most popular of his brothers. he is clever, being both book smart and socially intelligent. since he was bought up in oldtown, he can sometimes come across as more hightower than targaryen. despite his hightower traits, the blood of the dragon runs thick, and he is no exception. he is fiercely loyal to his family and would not hesitate to act should any harm come to them.due to his gentle nature, he can sometimes be easily led by others, particularly his brothers. desperately wanting to fit in and not feel like an outsider he will act to impress them when the opportunity arises.
